I'm researching my husbands family tree. It had been passed down the family for approximately 500 years that the family were decendents of the DE COLES (actually De Carles) and were from France. i was interestedto hear they were Huguenots from a previous contributor. Ha not thought of this as a reason for the family leaving France.
